Description
Frankincense is a small tree originating from Arabia, East Africa and India. The scientific name is Boswellia thurifera, a member of the Boursteridae family. The essential oil of incense comes from the resin of the plant. Especially from the trunk through the grooves, splashes white scented white resin, which when dry gets an orange brown color. The incense was marketable since the ancient time B.C 2000 and is associated with religious purposes.
