Description
Jasmine or Jasminum is a genus of shrubs and vines in the olive family (Oleaceae). There are many species of this plant but the major quantity of the jasmine essential oil is produced by the Jasminum officinale. The name jasmine comes from the word yasemin which in Persian means “gift of the God”. Jasmine essential oil is extracted from the flowers of jasmine and has a rich sweet aroma, and becomes stronger after sunset.
